Summary of the workshop
Amphibians are one of the diverse groups of vertebrates which have biphasic life. Their diversity, physical characteristics, breeding habits, role in the ecosystem, all calls for a better understanding, study and conservation. They are also one of the highly threatened animal groups.
The three day online workshop on taxonomy, ecology and conservation of amphibians of NE India aims to provide a platform to understand the basic knowledge of integrative taxonomy, ecology, biogeography and conservation of amphibians of the region. The workshop will also include lectures and virtual identification features of Indian amphibian fauna.
Course Fees
There is no registration fee for participating in the online workshop.
Who Can Apply
Students (B.Sc, M.Sc, PhDs), Post-Doctoral Fellows, Early career scientists, Young Teachers/Assistant Professors (Applicants should be from/working in the North-East, India)
